Workshop Add-On for Wednesday, April 9th 

Making History at 250: Preparing for the U.S. 250th Anniversary at Your Organization. 

Since 2016, the American Association for State and Local History (AASLH) has provided leadership and resources to help history organizations prepare for the U.S. 250th anniversary, a milestone with the potential to advance justice and strengthen the field. To support small museums and sites, AASLH has developed workshops offering practical tools to address challenges like limited funding, staffing, and time constraints while leveraging the anniversary to advance their missions. Using resources like Making History at 250: The Field Guide for the Semiquincentennial and The 250th Anniversary Program Handbook, participants will gain strategic planning skills, program ideas, and actionable plans to create impactful initiatives for 2026 and beyond.
