Collections Assistant | Waco, TX
Baylor University’s Mayborn Museum is seeking a Collections Assistant! This position is responsible for assisting the Collection Manager in the care of the museum’s cultural and natural history collections, including but not limited to conducting inventories of the collection; arranging and organizing collection items to facilitate care and management; inputting collection data to keep computerized records up-to-date, and providing scholarly and professional services to students, faculty, staff, researchers and the community.
The candidate chosen for this position must possess strong computer skills, both oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have an interest and understanding of cultural history, while a strong interest and understanding of natural science is preferred. The compensation range for this position is $15-$17.65 per hour with full time benefits.
Qualifications
An Associate’s Degree and two years of relevant work experience are required. A Bachelor’s Degree and one year of relevant work experience are preferred.
Pay
$15-$17.65 per hour
