The Beaumont Heritage Society is seeking qualified individuals for its 2025 Summer Internship. The internship will be in the Collections department at the Chambers House Museum.  

Position Summary and Duties: The intern will be responsible for working with the museum’s collections, including but not limited to data entry, collections care, research, exhibit design, and assistance with tours as needed. The intern’s primary responsibilities will include accessioning, cataloging, and indexing artifacts related to childhood from 1900 to 1925. Key tasks involve analyzing and describing the artifacts, photographing them following museum standards, and collaborating with the Collections Manager to develop an exhibit based on the intern’s experience. Additional duties may vary and could encompass various aspects of museum management. Reports to Collections Manager and works out of the Collection’s Building.

Qualifications: Must have an interest in history, museums, and/or museum collections. Undergraduates, recent graduates, graduate students, and early-career professionals are encouraged to apply. Interns are responsible for their housing and transportation.

Timeline: The internship timeline is flexible between May and September. The internship is for 8 weeks, 28 hours a week, with an hourly rate of $15.00. The work schedule is Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
