Tradition Meets Inspiration

Bryan College Station, also known as “Aggieland,” is located right in the heart of central Texas, rooted deep in tradition and boasting with a spirit all its own.

When it first came about, this metropolis wasn’t more than a train station and a post office, acting as the homestead for members of Stephen F. Austin’s colony. By 1867, the population reached a mere 3,000 people after the establishment of Texas A&M University.

Our once small community now acts as the home to 60,000+ students each year, and has grown in size to reach a population of 273,000. While the two cities govern themselves, the area acts as one, making visitors feel welcome and at home even as they are leaving one city and entering the next. Within the two communities, you can find a multitude of attractions, restaurants, and entertainment districts, all of which provide a mixture of arts, culture, and history combined.

Cultural attractions bring crowds to Downtown Bryan - a Texas Cultural District. The streets are lined with upscale restaurants, boutiques, antique shops, and historical buildings that continue to act as venues for meetings and social gatherings. Museums such as the George Bush Presidential Library, the Museum of Natural History, and the J Wayne Stark Galleries at Texas A&M are home to collections of artwork and timeless pieces of history dating back to B.C.

With Bryan College Station being rooted deep in hospitality, don’t be surprised if you are greeted with a warm and welcoming “Howdy!” in passing by strangers on the street. After spending a few days here, you will understand the spirit and tradition that is the foundation on which this ever-growing community has been built.

We are so happy to have you!
