Professional Bio
Rachel Mauldin has had a varied career within the museum and cultural nonprofit world. In 2019, she joined the Briscoe Western Art Museum in San Antonio as the Collections Manager/Registrar. In her first year, she completed a physical inventory of the museum’s permanent collection and loans. Prior to her work at the Briscoe, she established Rachel Mauldin Art Services where she assisted with projects for museums, government entities and businesses in San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Austin. From 2005-2016, she held several positions with the American Research Center in Egypt. While with ARCE, she developed and implemented the training curriculum on basic museum registration for a three-year project at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. From 1993-2005, she was the Registrar at the San Antonio Museum of Art. While there she was involved in two building expansions and oversaw the installation of 46,000 square feet of gallery space.
