Professional Bio
Emmy Laursen, Texas born 'n raised, is an artist advocate, independent curator, and community organizer living in Austin, TX. She was previously the Associate Director & Curator at Pump Project, an artist-run non-profit that provides exhibition, professional development and studio space to emerging and established artists. Since receiving her BFA in Studio Art at The University of Texas at Austin in 2015, she has worked as a community organizer and fundraising advocate in various fields. Her experience has reinforced her commitment to advocating for programs and space at the intersection of artists and community. During her free time, she volunteers and does work trades for organizations she aligns with.
